Metaponto Golf Club born from the foresight of Angelo Zella, President of Riva dei Tessali, the oldest golf club in Southern Italy.
He decided to turn a beautiful nineteenth-century Lucanian farm into a place of rest and fun, winning the bet and letting sportsmen and beginners to enjoy the uniqueness of such places.
For many years Metaponto Golf Club hosted the Italian Tessali Metaponto Open of Puglia and Basilicata, one of the most important sports events in South Italy.
